REFORM HOMEBUSH

Hi, I'm Pranay. I'm running for SRC because I honestly think our school works better when students actually get a say. Here's what I'm about, and why I'd appreciate your vote.

Why I'm running

Hi, I'm Pranay.
Here's the deal.

I actually like this school

That's the whole reason I'm running. I've been here since Year 7 and I've seen what works and what doesn't — and most of it comes down to whether students were asked first.

I get things done

Last year I helped raise $35,000 for kids in need in rural Texas. It took months of planning and a lot of asking people for help. I don't stop at 'someone should do something about that.'

I'm used to responsibility

I'm the CTO at Mellius AI (melliusai.com), where I lead tech projects with an actual team. Organising a school event is honestly not that different — it's planning, listening, and following through.

What happened

You might have heard
some things about me.

01

I decided to run

Somewhere around the start of this term I thought: someone should run for SRC who actually answers back to students. Then I thought... why not me?

02

Then things got weird

Right after I started telling people I was running, an accusation showed up: that I'd said a slur. A word I've never said. No recording, no proof, nothing — but it very nearly got me suspended.

03

The timing wasn't a coincidence

I'm not going to pretend I didn't notice: the accusation showed up exactly when my campaign started getting attention. I'll let you draw your own conclusions. I drew mine.

04

It's not about me

Here's what actually bothered me about the whole thing. It wasn't just me being targeted — it's that any student who stands up and says something can get this treatment. That should worry you, even if you never run for anything.

05

Why I'm still running

I could have dropped out and quietly waited for it to blow over. But if students stop running because it's easier, then the people who benefit are the people who don't want students asking questions. So I'm still here.

(not just plan to do)

Chief Technology Officer

Mellius AI

Yeah, a Year 8 student who's a CTO. I help lead the tech side at Mellius AI — planning projects, working with a team, shipping things that actually work. It taught me most of what I know about organising people.

Fundraising

$35,000 for rural Texas

Months of planning, calls, and asking adults to take a kid seriously. We hit the target. That experience is exactly what I want to bring to SRC fundraisers.

What I want to change
(and how)

I'm not running to put "SRC member" on a resume. Here's what I want to actually fix, for every year in this school — not just mine.

I

A voice that answers back

Monthly meetings for every year group — 7 through 12. You bring up an idea, and the SRC actually tells you what happened with it. No more suggestions disappearing into a void.

II

Events students actually design

If we're going to sit through an assembly or a school event, we should have had a say in what it is. Events built with students, not just handed to us.

III

Charity with published results

$35,000 for kids in rural Texas was one person chasing a target. Imagine what a whole school can do when the results are published and everyone can see where the money went.

IV

Fair process for every student

What happened to me shouldn't happen to anyone. If an accusation is made, there should be a clear, fair process — for every student, in every year, not just whoever's loudest.

V

Every year gets a real say

Years 7 and 8 aren't just 'the little kids'. And seniors aren't just 'the ones who count'. Every year group gets real representation — that's the whole point of an SRC.

The agenda

Reform Homebush.
For every year, not just Year 8.

01

A voice that answers back

Monthly meetings for every year group. You raise an idea, the SRC tells you what happened with it. No more suggestions vanishing.

02

Events students actually design

Bigger fundraisers, better assemblies and activities students help design — not just attend.

03

Charity with published results

After raising $35,000 for kids in rural Texas, Pranay wants Homebush fundraisers with real targets and results everyone can see.

04

Every year gets a real say

Younger years deserve real representation. Pranay will make sure no year is ever an afterthought at the table.
